Thanks to the generosity of more than 2,000 participating partner colleges and universities, every senior who takes the SAT or SAT Subject Tests using a test fee waiver also receives four college application fee waivers.

College application fee waivers make it easier for a greater number of underrepresented students to apply to college. Students enrolled in or eligible for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) are eligible. Learn more about fee-waiver eligibility requirements, and use this list to find out which colleges already participate. We update the list regularly, and publish the College Application Fee Waiver Directory of Colleges (.pdf/1.35MB) annually to help students connect with colleges that accept application fee waivers. We also encourage students who don’t see a college they’re looking for to contact the college directly.
The College Application Fee Waivers: A Higher Education Guide (.pdf/3.8MB) shares details about the program and tips from participating colleges.
Students receive their college application fee waivers directly from the College Board. Email us to participate in the college application fee-waiver program.
